Thanks guys! Yeah, I learned that you can't even begin to THINK about making a good film if you start off with so-so actors.

Like that first film I made.... I.D. what has that guy done since? NOTHING!

You have to start off with quality ingredients.

Then of course, you have to know how to bake the damn cake! :grin:

Yeah... it looks like you'll be carrying all the heavy gear this weekend... I feel my back feeling pretty bad already... :cheesy:

I am shooting my movie next weekend. May 29-June 1 :thumbsup:

Well, my wife and I arrived to LA and rushed right to the set.

What a great day! A fabulous day!

I met many dvxusers today that I have been wanting to meet.... Barry, Hudson, Jack, Matt G., Kholi, Geoff, Luis, MattyG, Arrik, Dudley... who am I missing.

And I got to be reunited with many dvxusers that are life-long friends.... Mark, Tim, Blaine, Kyle, Bullis, and my home-boy, Jim.

I also met and worked with the great and TALENTED Levie Isaac, the productions DP and I enjoyed the work of some pretty incredible actors.

I will not soon forget today. It was really a great and memorable day.

I wish that I could share more but this production is pretty much under lock and key. Let me just say that Mark and Tim certainly have a treat for us all here.

I am so proud to be a member of this community. Today was one of those small treasures.

I hope that we all can find moments like this in our lives.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we had the pleasure of Brandon Rice and Daniel Noa dropped by for a visit.

Today, Corrado's Adam C. makes an appearance.

I am back on Grip today. I had a blast working with Super Luis and Arrik yesterday. I learned so much.

We're out the door to more adventures!

Ted, it is great to have you back in California. Yesterday he walked onto the set wearing his IN N OUT hat and it was as though he had only been gone a week instead of more than a year and a half.

Ted put on his gloves and really jumped in as part of Luis' team.

All the "USERS" have been exceptional and Hudson has not yet had to ban anyone.

Well, we are wrapped. I have my Letus Extreme.... hand delivered by Adam C., himself! (great guy, I am so glad that I got to meet him!). I cannot tell you how excited I am to get home and attached this thing to my DVX.

Tuesday, my c-stands arrive. Thursday, I start shooting.

Very excited.

Awesome, Ted! Good luck man. After working with you this weekend I see you kick ass on a production set. And now you have your Letus. I'm excited to see how it turns out. You have your lenses already?

So glad you came out man. I couldnt have been happier learning from yourself and Super Luis. He really is super.... no joke. And your wife was way cool. I hope she got some great pictures. You should host them somewhere.... and send me the link!
 
Hey Mike, I loved meeting and working with you this past weekend. Total blast. You, Luis and I need to grip again. That was fun!

Yeah, I have a set of Canon FD primes that I picked up for the Ed35 that I had. When I can afford to pick up Nikon Primes, I will. (I have both the Nikon and Canon FD mount, so I can swap around in the meantime)

Thanks for the compliments on my wife. She is cool. And she had a great time on the set with all of us.

I'll take a look at her pictures soon and post.

Right now... I am desperately trying to get caught up on thing. I came home to find that my DSL modem and Airport Extreme died! Crazy. I unplugged them when I left of CA and plugged them in when I got home. Both dead. No power at all. I don't get it! And now I have just wasted 2 days trying to get them working. (which I didn't... I had to replace them!)

So...... I am now back online and have a bizilliion emails to tend to! (plus, I have to play with my LEX!)

My c-stands arrived. I broke out my flags and scrims. I am so excited to CONTROL LIGHT!!!

Off and running.
