The Men Who Fell Trailer #2

Nice looking footage

Nice looking footage

Loved the Faux website also. Trailer looks sooo professional!, Nice Job.

Whhahahahahaaa!

Wow, great looking trailer, I would rent that in a nano second. If you processed/mastered the voices just a little more, it would be dead on perfect! They're just the wee'est bit flat.

What the heck location is this? Please tell us about the basics of the project.. location, budget, shoot time, stuff like that..

You should also try an encode in h.264.. if your already streaming a 20mb trailer, then blast a true 480p trailer at everybody (848x352 pixel area), it would only be a little more data size.. and it would look a trillion times times better.

Looking forward to hearing more about this...

Yeah dude... what's the budget for this? Where's the location.

PLEASE be more than a one post wonder... hate when people just come here, post something, then never respond.

This looks pretty tight.

Hi, I just wanted to set some things straight for you, so you don't think I'm being stand-offish - I am just the writer of the flick (although I did venture out to Tucson to help for a couple months with shooting, doing gaffer/grip work). I am also a videographer and I really dug the cinematography, costume, production and lighting design done by my friend, William Stewart, the director. Dennis Farris, the producer, doubles as visual FX guy.

I am not authorized to answer any questions concerning the production, but you can contact the production team here:

One more thing ... we encountered some issues with Windows machines pulling up the old teaser in place of the new trailer this morning, but it *seems* like we have this issue fixed. If you checked the link earlier today, you might have watched the original teaser. Being the guy who runs the website (haphazardly at best), I aplogize for any problems you may have experienced at www.themenwhofell.com

Thanks,

IF

wow, no 35 mm adapter but it still looked amazingly film like. what a great teaser. i would also pay to see this@!

It seemed to me that alot of the location stuff was filled with computer graphics (not at all in a bad way though) The entire film looked incredible, but I do agree that the dialogue was a tiny bit flat. I would definitely pay to see this!

Wow, that trailer was hot!

It looks great. I can hardly believe that was shot with the DVX stock.

Great stuff! Best of luck with it,

Chris

That's probably the coolest DVX footage I've ever seen. Very impressive. My compliments to whoever did your set extensions and mattes.

The trailer's great, and it's definitely a movie I'd check out... if I had one comment it would be that I think the sound design could be done better.

I am in the process of working on finishing a screen play called Second Light. I have had the idea for about four years, but not enough time to finish it. It's a sci-fi and along the lines of this film. It also has convicts who are put on a re-con mission in turn for their freedom. I was wondering if you had any words of wisdom for creating a complete and well polished screen play. My goal is to make a trailer in hopes of making a short film. Great footage! I would love to see the finished work.

Light is very professional, I really like to know how you spend in lighting.
Who knows how Hvx200 could perform with so good lighting.

Wow. That was incredible. If it really was only shot with a DVX, it just goes to show how much production quality counts for. :)

I'm skeptical though... I'd love to see some behind the scenes footage of them actually using the DVX.
