Hello JP,

Good luck.

Thanks Kurt! That's a Rowe Cine dolly. He did have them in the DVX shop for a while and now he's got his own web site, www.rowecine.com. Not hard at all, and the track is PVC. Very smooth.

cheers,

JP

Really liked it Michael.

Good work.

Lighting was so-so but the shot selection and tension was nice. Good overall feel to this one. I enjoyed it.

edit - Michael and John both

Glad you guys enjoyed it. :)

Concerning the lighting, we were really limited with the lighting gear on this one - We used three DayFlow light banks + diffusers and gels. Jon and I were both attempting to learn the lighting technique ourselves, and I'd like to think we did a fair job, all things considered.

But NEXT time... We'll be hiring a Lighting Tech. Makes things run a tad smoother. :)

Let me know when you're looking for somebody.

Lighting is slowly becoming my favorite part of the process.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yeah, we knew lighting was going to be a challenge for us as neither of us are lighting gurus.

I hope the plot makes sense, we were a little worried that it might not convey as well as it had on paper.

cheers,

JP

The plot was a tad hard to follow on one viewing and I had to go back and re-watch a couple parts. I am still not sure if I understand it though, but I think I do.

Tell me what you think happened and I'll tell you if you're right or not. :)

Basically, the idea was to convey an overall concept -- that this guy is, through whatever means, leading these women to some sort of demise as a result of their less-than-honorable actions. The specifics of how or why aren't really the important points, at least not in this 6 minute version. In the time allotted to us, it seemed of more importance to set up a weird situation, allow it to unfold, and give a twist that suggests a dark cycle.

I'll let Mike tell you more, but this was based on his weird upstairs neighbors...which he's never seen...ever.
