The Hobo Menace (short film with GH2 and Lomo Anamorphics)

Available for a limited time! I did a quick and dirty sound mix for this, but will hopefully get a real deal one done in the very near future. Please let me know your critiques!

Thanks! I got sick of it getting denied from film festivals, so I figured show it online before Im sick of it and hate the film!
 
Thanks so much, glad you liked it. I submitted it over on funny or die, but it looks like it got lost in the shuffle there. A few of my friends had great luck distributing their short online rather than festivals. Anyone know of any blogs that would like to run this sort of film?
 
Just watched the short, I loved it! What lenses specifically did you use, in case I wanted to do something that looked similar some day?
 
I used magic bullet looks, added a bit of a curve to it, and then removed the saturation on a bunch of the colors. Threw some cinegrain overlay on top and was good to go. On my vimeo account you can find a video that is just selects from the rushes with no CC at all. You can see what I got in camera vs the final CC.
 
that was absolutely fantastic. nuff said.

I didn't notice this in the finished film, but in the selected shots, i noticed soem very strange flickering on sides of faces for the first few shots, what's this from?
 
Ah that flickering was because I went a bit too crazy with my shutter speed. I had an HMI sungun for the shoot, and in those sections I thought I would possibly use Twixtor to really slow down moments, so I went overboard with my shutter to make sure I got clean motion, which unfortunately picked up a pulse in the HMI that I could not see on my monitor. Should have known better, but it wasn't completely terrible.
