The Great Dying is a post apocalyptic web series, with zombies. We are going to start shooting 30/8 with the first episode scheduled for october. The series is 16 episodes long and will be released monthly and we are going to shot three episodes every quarter.

I will continue to post stuff here as we move on. We're in a serious crunch mode right now for the pre production so they will be sporadic at best.

Anyway, I must have some kind of treat for the first post so here are pictures from our zombie makeup test from earlier today.

Lovin' that zombie...great job on the make-up. Grabs look great too!

Thanks for the kind words. I am shooting on a 5D Mii and those pictures are stills. Same lighting and setup though.

New picture! Today was the first with a close up zombie. Nice.
 
Nice! I want to see this! You should submit to next years Independent TV Fest and NY TV Fest. Just had a web series at ITV and going to NYTV in a few weeks. Good places to get seen and talk to people.

Principle shooting finished as of yesterday and now, time for post production.

These are stills, with the same setup and exposure as the video. No to very little post work done. Except for the flesh eating zombie that is just a still taken on the whim on set.
These are very nice to have. On the next episodes I will try to take a still on each set up.
 

The teaser "Soldiers" for The Great Dying is finished. Also, www.thegreatdying.com will be used as the release site, so check back there on November 1.

Maybe the next teaser for episode 4-5 or something will be a little more action oriented.

I'm glad you liked the song, written and recorded by me and my spouse(also co-director) quite a long time ago. Dug it up and decided it was a good song, themeatically, for the teaser. Which in turn set the tone, theme and tempo of it.
