First to post and first to say YUMMY. That's a very very pleasing image. Especially loved the opening shots with the fruits and such. It certainly has a very nice "big" feel to things. Thanks so much to all who took part.
Edit: ouch! 3 hours until it is downloaded......damn 1mb internet connection.....those are the wonders of living in what is considered a rural area.....500m down the road they have nice cable internet, not here......
Download the 1080p version and it looks great. One question and this is not pixel peeping; the models forehead during the green screen test, how did it hold up in the ProRes version?
the good:
skintone discussion is over
highlight discussion is over
seems to easily resolve the 800 lines of the chart
the flowers colours are gorgeous
nobody can beat 1080 variable framerates
the not-so-good
ISO800 is realtively noisy. I wonder if it is better to go 1600 and give the chip light to work with instead of being on the limit with ISO 800 (that´s how it works on DSLRs, so maybe it will do on the AF100).
but to keep it on perspective: watch the convergence-F3 film and go to the night-view of London: the sky looks terribly noisy there also.
Wish I had more to show you, but remember we had a very ambitious schedule and less than five hours, including lunch, to get it all done. I would have liked to shoot the green screen shots with Julie or Lisa to challenge us with fine blondish hair, but there just was not time to do it all with the model & makeup schedule.
Even though we were able to pull a good key from the internally recorded footage, better results would undoubtedly be obtained with an external recorder.
