The Evolution of DVXuser...

1,200+ posts, and i doubt i have ever helped a single soul.

this is the only place i've been able to do that and still be a member. Thanks.

I can't believe I've made 70+ posts in the 'What are you listening to now" thread.
Ummmm, that's a lot of beer. Can I get my money back?

I would pretty much know nothing if it were not for dvxuser. I have gone through 3 cameras, Shot 4 short films, and 5 features since being a member. I have been inspired by many films and filmmakers here and I made some great friends, none of which I have ever met in person.

I thought this topic would have a video of Brandon doing the most popular dance moves of the last century.

DVXuser rocks!!

Good Lord! Someone's been to the gym. LOL.

I been here since 2004 and wow what a difference. Remember the old "How to get the filmlook" threads and the "It will never look like film" threads. Waitaminute, not much has changed. LOL.

Seriously, we went from talking about SD video looking like telecined film to 1080 palm camera's been able to shoot 1080 HD at 24p and being able to be printed to film and projected. We won't even talk about Red and the new HDSLRs that are croppin' up all over the place. It's been an amazing six years. I hope to shoot another feature this year, God willing and I hope to be here to tell you all about it.

Chris Tempel shooting "Leap" was awesome for me because it reminded me of myself six years ago. It's so crazy. That got me really pumped to shoot again. And seeing all these new kids doing work that's closer to pro than some of the stuff some of us old guys are doing. And what about that "Dead War" movie. That's poppin' (but I haven't heard anything else about it, but it's looks awesome).

And I got to see Brandon get married and get his film distributed by a Lions Gate, Adam shot "Corrado" and Faith shot "Deuce of Spades" with virtually no money and all the others things going on here. It doesn't seem like that long ago we were arguing over could it actually be done on a professional level. You know I miss my DVX. It was nice and I new everything about it. There was no transcoding and all that. It just worked. I wish I could've done more with it. But time (nor technology) waits for no one. So what are we talking about now this month 3D, probably be talking about virtual reality next month. LOL. I love this place probably more than any other forum I've been on.
