The EVF answer? TVLogic EVF035W-3G

Understood, Carlos. I'm just making the point that this isn't like queuing up for the latest iPhone.

You are correct. We live in a small world compared to iPhone. Pretty sure we will not have 500 people camping out in front of our building on the day some new gadget is supposed to ship.

Oh? I was just about to roll up my sleeping bag. Carlos, what would be the delivery time now if I ordered a Solid VF mount this weekend? If you ship to europe to begin with.

lol! I wish you all the success, Carlos, and I'm soon to be one of your customers. But I hope the queue isn't quite that long. ;)

AbelCine is probably better at international shipping and will also likely do a better deal. We have shipped all over the planet, but we do not do it every day. We begin shipping the next batch of EVF supports next week. We have added a locking mechanism on the extension arm which is very nice. Also, the generic cradle has been improved to accomodate many more EVF's. Our original version did not play nice with Alphatron and SmallHD DP4's - now that is all covered.

i got mine today. the manual mentions a voltage range of 6.8v - 12v. i intended to operate mine off the d-tap on my camera battery, but they put out considerably more than 12v.

Don't they supply a P-Tap/D-Tap cable with the unit? That would imply they have the unit designed to take the 14 odd volts that an Anton Bauer or V-Lock battery puts out.

yes, they include a d-tap cable. on their website i found this;

"Power: NP-F Battery (not included), External DC 6-15V"

tell me pls where can your EVF support system for Alphatron EVF and sony F3 be ordered in Europe or Germany

Used mine in the field today. Generally pleased with it though the resolution doesn't seem as good as the onboard LCD. Focus assist (peaking) was essential. It would be good if FA could be assigned a different color than zebras so both could be used together, but I imagine that's a tall order. Zebras have one orientation at an initial threshold, then (apparently) another at some point beyond that, but since I don't know what that second threshold is (or how to change it) I wasn't always sure what information I was being given. I guess I need to work with it more.

As Carlos showed, we have a floor demo unit in Burbank now as well as New York. The battery goes on the back. The cover for the battery mount is where the Alphatron logo is located. The power port for the included P-Tap cable is on the bottom.

While many people tend to avoid them, a review of the accompanying manual might provide answers to your queries. I have just received my EVF and found that the manual, although a tad too sketchy for my taste, appears to provide the answers in what I feel is a somewhat cryptic format. But, then again, others may take issue and find the manual totally adequate.

To the poster who stated that the F3's LCD is better, I will have to disagree. In fact, if the EVF, in addition to the numerous functions already included, had the ability to display a histogram or waveform, IMO, it would have rendered the LCD a useless appendage. The EVF's resolution is more than adequate for my old eyes to pull focus without FA ... try that with the LCD in daylight.
