But, I guess this is just my opinion alone.

I happen to have loved the villain as well, but that was the point. He was the archetypal devil, charming... untouchable. But Bale's character was just supposed to be a man of deep conviction and integrity, not some hotshot gunslinger charismatic hero. I thought he played the character very well. Awesome movie.
 
Bootleg dvds are already on the streets and clips from the film are all over the net.

The MPAA has to be thrilled about that.

Bootlegging is real heavy around here. I will not ever buy a $5 copy of the dark knight or anything else. Sometimes I wish I had bought the Bootleg of movies I felt ripped me off. But I just can't do it.
 
This is a movie I will be seeing opening night, already purchased the tickets. I won't dirty my movie-goer pallet by watching some bootlegged copy ;)

That has everything to do with the way the movies are being sold and nothing to do with the actual movies. It seems like a silly thing to criticize a film for when it has so much more to offer.
 
Already purchased tickets on line. Is it wrong that me and my friend are taking chicks to this... rather than just enjoying this as men, I feel like the chicks will distract me and I won't get to enjoy the film to it's full potential...

Who am I kidding, I'll just see it twice :)
 
I personally am only inviting people who will be as into it as I will. I can't stand people that talk, text, or wander off during films.

Not sure it's the best movie to take a chick to if you want to get some action afterwards...For that just take them to the latest Kate Hudson/Sandra Bullock/Matthew McConaghey/Ashton Kutcher/Hugh Grant rom-com.
 
I just watched that 6min clip from Dark Knight in 720p (ripped from the bluray of Batman Begins) and my GOODNESS! You can totally tell its 70mm IMAX stock....not 35mm. The latitude and quality of the image is incredible. It is something to behold guys, trust me. I think I see one of those wide shots with telephoto DOF too....its very cool. Can't wait to see this even more now.

TV has been doing a great job the past week of getting me even more excited for the movie, theres been tons of Batman stuff on.
 
AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Opened yesterday (Wed) in Australia, caught it last night.

Heath Ledger is AMAZING - one of the best performances I've seen in ages. He's up against some talented actors but just takes center stage. Such a great talent taken away from us so young.

I won't spoil anything except to say the action scenes are terrific and it's just as good as BB.

People are saying this is going to break 130 million opening weekend. I simply don't see it. It's a dark edgy movie. That appeals to fanboys but not to women. 130 million is Pirates territory (which was lighter - and had depp and bloom to bring in the females).
