The Dark Knight Rises

I saw this today on IMDB. I'm really excited that Hathaway will be in this because I think she can carry a movie, but she's often underrated.

Tom Hardy? Hell. Yes.

Arguably a stand-out in Inception, he should blow us all away in TDKR. His acting style is perfect for the Batman films, and his history with Nolan should only make it a stronger effort.

Hathaway is a powerful actress, perhaps the best of her generation. I give Rachel Getting Married top points. I'm glad she got the role over everyone else other than Rachel Weisz.

His version of normal is already built, it's not exactly a night and day transformation. It might have a clever diabolical name, but it's fast acting steroids in my book. If venom doesn't turn Bane into something over the top like Ang Lee's Hulk, I would find it real enough.

"The Dark Knight Rises"

Hmm...at least the title makes sense now.

Perhaps he's recovering from being broken by Bane.

Huhum...Oh Moderator we're talking about Batman here :)

Anne Hathaway ....not to sure about her ! I used to like her now she's just annoying.Sorry Anne.

I don't know if Bane was usually depicted to be as big as Hulk. He has been, but it usually depended on whichever artist was handling him at the time. In fact, Bane wasn't that much bigger than Batman in most of his original appearances in the Vengeance of Bane or Knightfall runs:

Or at least he wasn't Hulk size. Not modern Hulk size, anyway. I don't see why Hardy's version of Bane would be considered much of a stretch given that he could easily pack on more weight than Bale, as evidenced by the new trailer for Warrior. Even then, I don't think the majority of the box office take for DKR will even know who Bane is before this. Hell, Batman has changed size throughout the years as well.

All the evidence you need is in Bronson. Hardy's almost f..king unrecognizable.

Our first look at Bane. It seems like they're going a bit in a different direction. I think expecting a direct comparison to the comics is a bit moot at this point in the franchise.
