Audacity has percentage-based speed change without affecting pitch - it doesn't sound amazing when really pushed, but it's probably easier to keep a straight face that way...

(I'm 99% sure it has that anyway, I've become a ProTools freak and haven't been in Audacity for a while). Most multitrack software should have that function nowadays.
 
I prefer NOT to pitch it so when slowed down and NOT working with proper timecode slating it makes it (for me anyways) easier to sync to the master track of the song in editing. I'll have to give it a try... but I prefer to just wave the gun around on set so there is no smiling and laughing until the work it done :)
