Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 VC vs Tokina 11-16mm 2.8....STRICKLY GLASS

Hey J.Davis ....hmm..well i hadnt really thought about it. I just kinda wanted an overall assessment cuz they dont really overlap in focal lengths. I know the attraction of the tokina is its focal length...but that aside i'd just kinda want to see your peeps opinion on quality of the glass. Does the focal length affect that? (well maybe apart from CA on the wide end or something...i dont have the tokina)
 
they are a good match -- just be aware of quality control issues with the Tamron
some copies of the lens are not as good as others
 
Amen to that. I have to send my Tamron back for repair cuz the focus ring is sticking after 2 months of having it. I cant get smooth focus moves in manual mode. for stills in AF its fine.
