TAMRON 17-50mm 2.8 non-vc

Here is the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 non vc @ 17mm with some crops in sunlight with shadows. Interesting this lens seems to peak out at 5.6 for sharpness. This really shows the importance of adding ND filters in full sunlight to get the highest level of focus and resolution by keeping the f stops in the f5.6 to f8 range.
I'll try some low light tests later.

This is a more piratical example of the Tamron 17-50 non vc in the field with crops. It's a bit distorted in the corner, but the single spider web strand is ok.
90% of the work I do with this lens is motion pictures with little or no blow up so I would never notice details in the corners anyway.

Here the distortion will be less in an HD movie 16x9 crop

This is a close up shot @50mm f5.6.

The width of the flower peddle the drops are on is about 2cm which makes the drop on the upper left of the crop approximately 1.5mm in diameter.
The larger drop on the right is about 3mm in diameter so for a non macro zoom lens it's not bad.
