Tamron 17-50 Filter Help

Purchasing the Tamron 17-50 for the 7D Monday and I just wanted some good help with the filters I would need for this lens to protect and improve quality if that is possible.

Judging from the reviews, I would say these Sigma filters are good quality for video and look better than Tiffen and Hoya.

I would probably use only one at a time for their specific uses outdoors. I don't believe you would need to us a UV filter when using a polarizer filter.

If it's good enough for stills, then it's more than good enough for videos (as far as filters go).

Right. That's what I ended up finding out. I prefer this forum so much more than searching through pages of Google results. lol

I've never had a problem with Hoya filters. Especially the HMC and Super HMC models. Honestly, I think people get caught up in choosing filters when it really doesn't affect the image that much if you stay with the big names even the cheaper ones.

I am looking into those also.

Yeah, it's all good. I just ordered the 72 Sigmas. They cost a bit more. I am returning the 67's when I get them in the mail. I ordered one off of Ebay and the guy is trying to charge me a 25% restocking fee. Yeah right. lol

Wow those sigma filters are expensive. Sometimes I get used premium filters from keh.com for 1/3 to 1/4 the cost.
