T2i tripod advice...?

Hey guys, I am currently using the t2i and have a 10 day US tour that I will be filming as a freelance project. I am planning on getting a new tripod but don't know which one is recommended.

My set up will consist of tripod and glidecam, and potentially some handheld. I have this quick release plate + adapter mounted on my glidecam (http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-323...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300721679&sr=1-1)

I want to be able to back and forth quickly between tripod and glidecam if need be, I want a decent tripod with a decent head nothing too crazy though, the ability to switch between the 2 quickly is more important...

Any recommendations for my set up?

maybe this? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...0XPROB_804RC2_190XPROB_Tripod_Legs_Black.html

The tripod you're looking at isn't the most stable in the world. I have one, and I use it for things where I wouldn't dare risk my primary sticks or for helping to stabilize my DIY indie slider. It isn't terribly sturdy, and it's even worse with the center post extended.

Also, the tripod head that's on that kit is a photo head, not a video head. That's going to make a huge difference. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll find the tripod head you need with that kind of quick-release plate. You might want to look at THIS tripod kit, and consider moving to THIS compatible quick-release assembly.
