First time out with the T2i. Used it mounted in my car.

F50 Flames Preview Video

First two clips were from a 5DmkII. Also had a 1DmkIV with us. The T2i had the kit lens and set at: manual focus near infinity, 1080 30P, 1/60, f6.3 (for more DOF) auto ISO. I know there is room for improvement but just went with basic settings.
 
Do you have a direct download link to the clip? On your site it plays about 4 fps (I have high speed and waited for it to load).
 
Why zooming in is so "steppy", not fluid? Freeway shots have noticeable jello artifacts. Too bad these DSLRs do not use CCDs.

What was the car you shot from? Nice engine sound, though it does not match gear-shift flames from the Ferrari. I wish you had the sound from the F50 instead.
 
Very nice work... I was going to ask what you mic'd with. I am going to shoot some Cobras this weekend, and maybe a GT40. We'll see how that turns out. Wish I had one of these DSLRs to mount in my car!

The first camera was a 5DmkII and the person using it is new to video so not use to zooming. The sound was from the F50. The recorder did not pick up many of the flame pops. Unfortunately the F50's window was down so it made for wind noise.

I was in a 350Z. I used a Zoom H2 for sound. The in car cam was a Sanyo which I used to help sync, and the sound from it is different. In the final video will mix them from which sounds best.

Will be fun to shoot Cobra and a GT40, American V-8s sound great.
 
It just played fine. Zoom H4n in the F50 cockpit?

The shot of it going up the ramp in dusk is fantastic, BBC would be proud, love the light.
