Hi,

this the first episode of a local video magazine
contents : Big air Rotterdam, tricktip, dvd review, commercials, damn am contest, tricktip
The dvd review wasn't done by me and the anagram ad is from another member on here 'mbv'.

There are no subtitles so feel free to skip the interview. Our reporter is not that experienced and the audio was done with a zoom mic, so don't expect to much of the audio-interview part.

it is 20 minutes long so it is 640x360

I 'ld love to here what you think.

Good music/ Great shots especially with the music at 6:30 into the clip. Graphics were used professionally. Was this all done using FC Studio 2?

Hey Senne, great shots - nice and clean. Is that shot in 1080?

I would love to know what you rendered in and what codec you used? It also looks fairly good full screen on vimeo - also what file size is that 20 min clip?

I really liked your use of the text graphics throughout, especially the ending logo emerging from the path - nice touch. Keep up the great work.

I think it was all shot in 720pn. I rendered it in compressor with the standard H.264 preset. But i adjusted the setting to 640x360. Then i converted it in itunes to play on my ipod. I think the resulting file is about 225mb

Everything looked great, great shooting and editing and graphics
The only thing I would change is the music during the intro Motion graphics.
That track from Garage Band and has been used many times (I have used it in some corporate videos)
Other then that, I think you did a great job.
How often are you looking to but out the video magazine?
Is it just going to be web-base or is it going to be broadcast too?

About the music. I got no rights free music library so itunes is easy. Anyone got some good links to buy or download rights free music/jingles/soundeffects ?

For now it's just an online verison.

thanks

Hey Senne, I have used http://www.stockmusic.net/ before for some music and they have a really good cost: $30.00 US funds per song. It just take a lot of time to find something that works and sort through all the music.
Another option I have done before is contacting a local band or music artist and see if hey can produce something for you. You can try and barter the cost for that with the exposer they will get from the show.

You might want to look at pitching the show to Extreme TV based in the UK http://www.extreme.com/
They broadcast to something like 52 countries in Europe, Africa, and South America

All the best

Crane and dolly shots look sick
Finally happy to see quality effort being put into skate/snowboard videos now.
I'm used to just crappy fisheye-everything videos.

Yeah, i know what you mean. I don' get why people make that kind of stuff. It must be extremely boring to edit.
Thanks for your opinion !
