T2i/550D Magic Lantern questions

I am thinking about doing the Magic Lantern firmware hack. Here are some questions I have about it:

1) Can it brick/damage the camera to a point were you can't fix it?

2) Can you melt or ruin the sensor using a high Qscale?

3) Can you reverse it?

4) Can you monitor the audio with headphones, if so how?

5) Can you still take pictures with it?

6) Can you still have picture styles?

Thank you soooooo much!!!

1) Unlikely, but possible. To date, I don't think this has actually happened (aside from a story I heard about someone using firmware for the wrong camera).
2) It may heat up more quickly, but the camera has a built in sensor to stop recording before overheating.
3) Yes.
4) Yes. Using the analog TV output cable (that comes with your camera), you connect the two audio channels (red and white wires) to a stereo adapter that offers a headphone jack. Plug in headphones. Enjoy. Just enable it in the ML menu, and make sure to plug in the cable after turning on the camera (it won't work if in during boot up).
Also, make sure to get one of the builds that support Audio Monitoring, as there are currently two versions. Some do not have AudioMon enabled because it breaks some hotplug functions and HDMI output (it will say in the file name "noAudioMon" or "AudioMon" or something like that). For me, the audio monitoring is worth more than HDMI out, and everything else works.

5) ABSOLUTELY! Using focus peaking on stills with manual focus lenses is a favorite of mine. Not all the ML features are for video, you know...

6) Yes. All of the camera's original functions are retained. It just brings a new added menu that wasn't there before.

na, you need the one that says 'audiomon' in the filename.

and make sure you plug the cable after you boot up the camera (I think thats what you did, but just wanting to make sure)

I looked everywhere on the net but could not find a single audio monitoring build.

plus, next time, just look at the ML thread on this very forum, alex posts a new alpha build on there every three or four days
