Super 35 - Traditional lens set?

What are the 3 essential focal lengths for a cinema setup (sorry, I come from the stills world, where you usually run a 28mm for wides, a 50 for normal, and a 90 for tele)?
I understand that 25 is essentially the "normal" for Super 35

I think this is going to depend a lot on pretty much everything (story, DP, etc...) but on Super 35 a 35mm will normally take the place of a 50mm on a full frame camera.

I personally would go 21mm, 35mm, 85mm but I would guess I'd be in the minority.
 
There is no right answer for this because it's a matter of preference and the project at hand. But if it was one of those "desert island" type scenarios where you could only take three lenses, and assuming that the subject matter is people-oriented rather than landscapes or extreme sports or action sequences or any of the scenarios where much wider or much longer lenses would be more appropriate: I'd go with 24, 40 and 85 (I have taken a bit of liberty by mixing and matching between different manufacturer's focal length offerings here, since this is just a theoretical).

+1 I found that my three most used lens are 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm.
