stunning footage

Which clips? The australian Michael Fletcher clips? Or Laforet's?

Michael Fletcher's clip. (Though you can see it in Laforet's one, too) Have a look at the takes that show rippled water. In those tiny waves you can see a lot of colour fringing. The only ways known to reduce this are defocussing slightly or using softening fliters in front of the lens.

Rolling shutter issues might be all over the place in that Michael Fletcher flick but seriously the only time I seen it (or it stuck out) was the curved helicopter blades. Other than that it was a non issue. That whole piece was stellar. while watching it all I could think about was if they threw in a few scripts it could have been a great looking movie...like any other.

The Curved Helicopter Blades Were Awesome!!!

This is Art/Doco and it works...

For scientific or engineering it might not work... but even then...

Great Piece!

Thanks for ruining my day, Kit. I just bought an HMC150. I know I'll be happy with it but given that I already have a couple of Canon lenses (for my 20D), Michael's footage and the Reverie short are making me go "Hmmmm."
