Very nice, Matt! That lady got really creepy there for a minute. I mean really creepy. From what I can tell from the short clip, the lead actress is really good. Keep 'em comin'!!

Cool man.

What was the decision behind releasing completed scenes to the public, if you don't mind me asking? And, these specific ones?

We have been counseled by some sales people and distribs who passed on Stricken that because we do not have a giant name we need to get more publicity and create more buzz. We are now on a buzz creating campaign cruising around the internet to different horror blogs and through Facebook, emails, etc to raise awareness and get Stricken more out there.

The cemetery scene is a different feel than a lot of films and shows the crane and the wind etc for production value. The other scene is a cool atmosphere and the next two are just fun impressive parts (In my opinion) of Stricken. The goal is to get more people interested and show them the quality of Stricken through more than just a trailer.

Thanks!

Alright, that's what I initially thought right off the bat. Just wanted to confirm for my own curiosities.

Thanks man, and good luck with the buzz.

I just watched the cemetery scene. I must have missed it before, because it was on the previous page. That's a very, very nice scene. Beautiful shots with the crane. It makes the scene all the more compelling. The music that came in when she was singing came in at just the right time. You've got a very professional and bankable product.

Re-post everywhere!

Hey Matt,

The black flickering is REALLY hard on the eyes. I actually had to pause it to let my eyes readjust.

Yep, some people have trouble with it because it is extreme. It was actually a practical flickerbox, so it was not something I could adjust in post. We filmed it like it would have really been happening. It was pretty crazy on set and a ton of fun. Do you think I should put a warning on it for people who get seizures from strobing? I do not know if this would do the same thing?

It's not so much the seizure from strobing. The primary issue is that the flicker box gag goes from exposed to NOTHING immediately. I have no issues with seizures, but I was beginning to get nauseated trying to focus on the screen.

Generally, what you want to do is have exposure even when the flicker box is ramped to an "off" setting, so that the eye isn't wandering in darkness, then suddenly needs to adjust to light.

It's alright in person, club or a party, but watching it on screen where you're focused and trying to follow a specific action really makes it difficult.

However, it's nothing you can fix so, for next time.

I love the flickering. Maybe is messes with my adhd mind. I have always loved that where are they, reacquiring feel. Some people do, some don't. Kholi, good info for next time. Expose for the dark and then have flicker. Got it. Thanks guys. I think I am done for now with scene releasing. We will see how buzz goes.:cheesy:

Buzz going great!

Hey, Matt. Looking good. I could have used more coverage in the cemetery scene but the crane shots were very cool.

The hallway flickering was a little tough to watch and I think the music overpowered the scene a little. Overall though it all looks good. Very polished.

Nice job. Finishing a feature must have been a daunting task.
