FEATURE: Stricken the Feature - A Matt Sconce Film

Cool stuff. Did you guys REALLY get a PG-13 rating? That was a fast process if so.

I know how it feels to see your film on the big screen in front of a full-house, it ROCKS! Enjoy every moment of it! :)

I tell people that it is targeted at a PG-13 rating. I think that is what the theater was going for. It will need to pass through the MPAA before we are official, but we kept it clean and lean and scary. PG-13 should be very easy to acquire. :cheesy:

We were just on the Alan Autry show! Here are some Pics.

Ok, yeah I was wondering, because the MPAA process took AWHILE for No Greater Love.

Alan Autry is such a great guy... It was so fun to meet him again. Alan was in the NFL before he was in acting. During the interview with Star David Fine, they laughed about getting killed a lot in their first 5 years of acting roles. Alan was Bubba in, IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT and was able to play a heroic role for years. Cool!

It was a privilege to have him ask Matt on the show again.

We are finalizing all of the myriad of details for the premiere in Avenal on Friday. Shane Foster (What a talented guy!) will be running an HVX and interviewing people coming out after seeing STRICKEN. We will put the dead cat on the blimp and mic their comments. We will use the comments to help with distributors. :engel017:

Again, congratulations to all involved... this is SO cool!

Tell me though, how long has it been since you first started the script for the original idea?
I want to put into perspective how long it can take to produce a feature film. Can you give me a quick history with some dates?

Zaza, I will get to that soon, but am frantically preparing for tomorrow. I will remember to do so though, have no fear!

I just received this notice from someone who just bought tickets for the July 9th show:
As of 7:15 June 24 there are only 24 tickets left for the Oakhurst showing of Stricken...I got 5...

Morning of the first premiere. Things to get:

2 Shocklights for lighting people with comments
GH1 Camera with all batteries etc.
Tripod
extension cords and multi plugs
theatrical releases
director's chair for backdrop

ticket sheets for comps
pens for actors to sign autographs
BTS snapshot camera
poster and stand for backdrop
cell phone
money for limo fleet
Four blu-ray copies of STRICKEN (only one needed)

And... My formal Scottish Kilt, laddies! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

STRICKEN will be on the BIG SCREEN!

Whooooooooooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

We probably won't get back until 4am tomorrow... After that we will sleep, rise again, and then will post how it went when we un-zombify. :zombie_smiley:

It is a strange feeling... I am completely NOT nervous about how the movie STRICKEN will be taken by the audience. I have a peaceful confidence that the movie will be enjoyed by the 400 or so viewers... We'll see. :engel017:

Kilt on... Matt in a new suit looking spiffy, all stuff loaded... Meeting James Mierkey and others to caravan to AD Troy Ruff's house to get one more light, then...
On to the premiere!

HERE WE GO! :kali:

Wow! My brain is slowly restoring my neurotransmitters and moving away from zombie-mode.

WHAT A GREAT NIGHT!!!

Everything went so smoothly... We had such a great time. The people of Avenal were characteristically kind, friendly and helpful, as usual. What a nice town.

We arrived early and set up a lighted corner for shooting comments made after the screenings. We used two shocklights and put up two posters, setting in the light Matt's director's chair. We will do this again at the Oakhurst showing. Shane Foster ran the HVX on those shots.

We then put on our formal wear, and of course, laddies I got on my dress kilt with Argyle jacket and Glengarry cap.
