Awesome! Thanks a ton. I am excited too! I just need to keep moving forward now, after Monday night, in Post Production. -Matt :engel017:

On set right now with Matt & crew. We just completed some awesome green screen shots with the RED, two days to go!

We just wrapped a 24 hour effects shoot. We will sleep for 3 hours and then wake up to go film in three locations Tomorrow.

Here is the lit up green monster wall for the special effects night.

Yes, that is a dead body gurney in the foreground...Just in case...

The 2/3 version of the wall in the house with DP Justin's RED and Director Matt Sconce preparing to shoot straight down closeup. The inside of this house has a 28' high ceiling.

Shooting with RED up towards the interior window set from the stairs upward. I made a 1K shocklight specifically to go on the stairs for these shots. Alan Chang is below with the boom and mike. Imagine... camera and DP, Director, a huge fan for wind with grip, all on one flight of thin stairs!

Director Matt, AD Troy and DP Justin check a shot.

Those three are an amazing combination. They are so amazingly creative... if not totally insane...

Justin, Alan Chang and Huy Vu on set preparing for a shot. DVXUsers coming over to help were hard working, talented and frankly a blast to work with.

Notice how small an HVX looks next to a decked out RED. To the left is the back of the bottom of the interior 2/3 sized greenscreen wall.

During the location shoot at the huge underground culvert Spiderman showed up to watch a playback with Director Matt Sconce and AD Troy Ruff.

More to come...

Another shot of the exterior greenscreen special effects wall and lighting. I love flourescent lights as they are so easy to set up on minimal circuits, not requiring lots of amps.

We had a 4'x4' camera platform on top of the wall. I mounted a pivoting board and attached a tripod with HVX. These were held by two straps and then lowered into position for the down shot.

This mounting allowed use of the tripod head.

I built a tripod mount for the personal hoist to lift the RED and DP up to approximately 20' to get a profile shot of the action. It had to be built in 1 hour and be bulletproof. We now have it for future use. Yay!

I built it onto a tripod rolling base I made a couple of years ago.

DP Justin McAleece is changing position of the RED mount to the side. It was the first time he has done this with this rig, and it adds pixels to the tall shot for greater ease of keying out.

Wow... what a rig...

Yeah. That's me hiding on the second floor platform. I knocked a 'pirate plank' in and out for the stunt actress to stand on between takes, then hid. She was cabled up with a full harness and two 380lb test thin wires. The wires were double crimped on the ends for added strength. When I made the rig I hooked up and bounced on the wall as hard as I could to test for any movement and there was none at all. Each harness/wire set up could hold a minimum of 760lbs.

I was so pleased with the performance of the rig/wall. When I was inside the wall I could feel if there was any movement, and with two actors in the top 3rd floor platform, and two actors hanging by the wire rigs, there was absolutely no movement whatsoever. Yay!

I now have the joy of striking this set... *sob*.

wow!! You guys are really coming along nicely.

I bet everyone here wishes they had a Gary Scone on their team. :) Kudos for showing everyone your handywork.

Good luck!
