Strange noise in playback - Not normal video noise!

I have a 60D and yesterday I bought a HDMI cable to playback some footage on our LED TV at home.

80% of the time I saw strange noise 'particles' which were really big. Normal noise is like 1 pixel in size, these were like 4 - 8 pixels in size.

I had moving green pixels on some of the white colors and some red on darker colors. The funny thing is, when I paused the footage it was still there and moving!

After playing with all the TV settings for a while, checking the HDMI cable and wondering what it could be, I decided (dont know why) to do a automatic sensor cleaning on the 60D (which it does automaticly everytime), and it was gone ...

Was that a coincidence? What could this be? I dont see any relation between that?
Something else?
 
Shouldn't be the sensor if it was on playback, and if it's still there (and moving) when paused. It's most likely a loose connection. Perhaps when you handled the camera to activate the sensor cleaning, you wiggled everything into place.

Thanks but I wiggled the camera around a lot, cause I suspected already it may had to do with the connection. Also, when I pointed the camera in record mode to some objects in the room, the same big noise particles were there... So it was in playback, but also in live mode.

Which further points to the problem being with something other than the sensor, and when I've seen that kind of artifacting in the past with HDMI it has been from a poor connection.

Okay. Could a poor connection be a result of a poor hdmi cable? Cause I just bought it yesterday for like 20$ ...
