T2i Stop Motion - Shooting an 'explosion'

What do I need to set my camera to, to shoot a scene where a juice box is smashed and it explodes on someone.

I have the T2i. It cannot take that many pictures continuously and quicky.
So, what would be the best settings to shoot the fastest?

I'd change my idea. Use something you can animate and take stills of it while you are animating. These stills can then be put together in a movie. That's stop-motion animation.

Coloured tracing/rice paper, very thin. Some fishing wire/strong wire to suspend or hold the paper. Then photoshop some extra colour in there using some filters to emulate fire or what have you..

If you are trying to capture an event that is taking place in real time, it is no longer stop-motion. No matter how you film it.

Stop Motion

Yeah, I'd look into getting a program like Boinx iStopMotion or something similar. If you can import the footage then cut it up frame by frame; a lot of stop motion is done on 1's or 2's meaning 1 or 2 frames per second depending on the moves. I.E. If you're shooting on 2's then you take 2 pictures, move your object slightly, take another 2 and then move it again, etc.

I think you can record the motion. Move it to your timeline. Then chop it up from there frame by frame.

That's not stop motion though. That's just low framerate.

Most stop motion video is also a lot more than 1 or 2 fps.
