found this on ebay and they're offering a buy it now price for $2650 IF YOU CONTACT THE SELLER AT THEIR GMAIL ADDRESS....well I did cuz it sounded fishy. I said I would buy the camera through a trusted ebay channel and that I wanted to know the serial number (so I could make sure it wasn't stolen) and that I would like to speak on the phone. They said they didn't know the serial number, it was their brothers camera, and that we couldn't talk on the phone because it was broken........... The most frustrating part is that there is NO WAY to call ebay and explain this. You have to fill out a form and hope that some one flags it. Hopefully someone doesn't get screwed

Yeah I know but it dosen't allow you to describe your experience. It's just drop down boxes of answers that best fit yours. I did report it.

Not true. Here's Ebay customer service: 866-877-3229

My guess is there isn't any f3. I was duped on ebay into buying a nonexistent hvx200 in 2008.

Similar thread was made recently about a RED ONE MX. Sounds like it's the same guy...

Some of these "bidders" are also fake...trying to drive up the excitement of the item. It's possible that there are plenty of auctions that are bid up and "won" by completely fake accounts for completely fake scam products.

I have reported it. There is a Report Item link and then a number of pull-down categories. Pull down Listing Activities and then Suspect Auction is Fraudulent. eBay takes these things serioiusly. I will report the 1D as well.

The inserted photo for $2650 may be a hijack. Different party than the seller.
I received this when I inquired
If you want to buy it now for the price of $2650 with shipping and handling included, i will need your full name, address(shipping address) and username so i can contact the eBay team to let them know about our transaction, and after they will approve it, you will receive an invoice containing all the steps that you need to follow for this to be a safe and fast transaction. My auction is 7 days money back guarantee (if it's not like we agreed, or broken you will receive the money back). I can ship in 3 days, and please let me know if we can arrange a deal.
Thank you.

Looks like phishing.

Some people need to learn how to use eBay. Sellers with zero feedback should never receive bids on pricey things like this (unless fake account of course).

Camera sold for $11,100.99

I fear for some poor sucker as this camera is either stolen or a complete scam.
