steadicam MENBOCY vs VARIZOOM DV SPORSTER

Seems like there'd be some trademark issues with them calling it a "steadicam." Nonetheless, it looks like a slightly better design (without having used it) than the DV Sportster.

The Sportster is single-articulated and the arm mounts dead-center. That's challenging (I've used one). With an arm that mounts to the side, especially if it's double-articulated, it follows the curvature of the human operator's arm, and becomes an extension of that arm.

so do you think that MENBOCY can be a good choice?

Don't know. Like I said... the design looks better, but I haven't used one and have never heard of the company.

Also, these are comparisons of vest/arm combos. Which stabilizer are you using? With the 7D, you'll want a smaller stabilizer, and may need to add some weight to the camera rig to make balancing easier.
