You're correctly using the word in your post. :)

...GREAT poster, best of luck in the fest!

The poster kicks ass! The grammar debate aside. :)

All I see is "One ticket can change you life forever"
I don't see your or you're, just you? Call me confused.

The film is unsettling, to say the least. But I do not mean that to be taken as a negative reaction to the film. I like the way that the atmosphere is presented as this warm, albeit monochromatic, city in which the weather is fair, politics are getting ever more intense, the left and right wingers are separating even further, forms of art are dying out (or being outlawed), and a man is left with anti-depressants that claim to be natural (GREAT Fukitol reference), and a craving for eternal philosophizing of the nature of human to human relation, human to nature relation, and nature and human separated. He strives to give meaning to the unswerving, un-motivated force that is chaos while proving that things DO indeed move in cycles.

The film makes great effort to show a man at odds with the milieu he interacts with, but the film loses steam when it establishes a character that receives little to no development. It's open to the viewer's interpretation, and being dealt the ace of spades is obviously a sign of bad things to come the man's way, but I feel that the seance-type atmosphere of the sort of tarot reader isn't quit there yet. I feel like I have a good grasp on what the film was giving me, so I'm satisfied.

Nice work regardless of any confusion.

Interesting film not to mention it looks so rich in color.
As far as the story maybe I'm slow but I don't feel I'm getting it... the character doesn't give me a reason to like or be interested in his actions and results... but somehow I felt that there was a message in there somewhere...

This was an intriguing film.

The exterior shots had an almost documentary style to it and the interiors felt very atmospheric. I liked the tone you established, even if I'm not 100% sure what happened in the story.

Best of luck in the fest.

I was a tad lost myself but I think I got most of it. I may also walk away with some nightmares ie. creepy face dude!

Almost seemed more suited for Twilight Fest! Would have worked well there.

It was good but it dragged along, really lost momentum and although we're following him almost docu-style, I couldn't connect with your lead character - I was never sure what his motivations were. The creepy faced tarot man (death?) was very iconic looking but underutilized. You set up some good shots and there's certainly a hopeless sort of feeling in this world even with the warm colors.

I had hoped to see more growth since "6 Hrs" but this one was ALMOST as incomprehensible as that one. More importantly, though, there are still some technical problems that should be well within your grasp to fix, i.e. the panning on the radio dialogue felt like a mistake the way it was done. The other was the lighting in the Fukitol shot going from fairly good to blown out and back. In that case, you might have wanted to block out the natural light and light then light the scene yourself. And I'm not at all sure what the title means. When I saw the reference to Transylvania and the title of "Stake", I thought I might be seeing vampires...

I'm not ready to give up on you, though. I did like the exteriors you shot. Keep at it, as that's the only way to learn.
