Sorry this isn't officially an hvx200 questions, but i shot a bunch of stuff on the camera and edited in fcp (720/24pn). I just got an srd-100u but can't figure out how to burn a high def dvd to play in it (its 7:30 long). I have compressor and tried a few settings and then used dvd sp as hd dvd and it doesn't work. A toast divx file works but it looks like crap. Any advice??

Who makes the set top?

Is it HD DVD or blu ray?

In any case, DVD SP will play red laser dye DVD5s authored in DVD SP 4 using mpeg2 HD compression and aiff audio with menus and just with the track as a the first play.

These discs will play in the first generation Toshiba HD DVD A1 without the latest firmware updates.

That's about it

Don't know what "looks like crap" means, but divx is not HD DVD.

It can be. DivX's Home Theatre Profile supports up to 1920x1080p, and this format is supported on a number of standalone devices.

I am not familiar with that player, but I know many of the High-Def Divx players will also play High-Def XVid files.

I have the I-O Data Linkplayer2, and to burn a high-def disc, I just put the HD Xvid file on a DVD, and it just plays.
