GH13 Speeding up clips

I want to create a small time lapse film. What would you guys say is the best way to speed up footage? I'm talking over an hour of footage for maybe 5 seconds. Final Cut Pro always gives me problems...

Any help appreciated.
 
Do you already have the footage? It is always nicer to shoot stills at high res and then stitch them together when doing timelapse. You can then pan at hi res, zoom in and out etc.
 
I've only shot some... mostly test footage. Is there an option to shoot high res stills every so often on the camera? Or would I have to buy one of those timelapse remotes?

By the way, Final Cut is working for me now, however I just can't view the sped up footage until I export it.

Yep, use a timer remote. I got one on eBay for $20 and it works like a charm.
