News broke today that the contradictory sensor sizes are due to the camera having interchangeable sensors! Yes, interchangeable sensors, as well as interchangeable lenses.

Sounds more like a gimmick to me, tho - Mark

Well, that is, largely, the difference between Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds -- they are in effect the same format, but the FFD is reduced for u4/3, and you need an adapter to use regular 4/3 lenses.

So -- if Sony follows suit, then perhaps optic-less adapters could be used on this proposed/hypothetical mirrorless system, which would be good news indeed.
