I'd have no idea what you meant by "The 50 ain't cutting it", & wonder why you suddenly wanted a 16mm Arriflex.

Imagine most DPs who use ARRIs would have no idea either. But the SoundPerson would.

Apparently you do not feel the .50 BMG is correct for the scene and you want it switched out for a .416 Barrett.

For the sake of clarity (and hopefully closing this thread), I'll interject with my reading of those remarks.

A troll according to Wikipedia: a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement.

IMO this is a slightly harsh labelling, but I must admit I can see some of the reasons they were motivated to make it.

The 'folks' are all the regular contributors to this forum.

It leads to lots of wasted time checking threads that are filled with (at best) speculation on topics not usually considered by, or significant to, the 'folks', or (at worst) with interpersonal slagging which is boring and depressing.

Sorry to be the translator of bad news.

Ok. Thanks for that. Maybe I'm old-school, but I call the same people you're talking about "bull-s*%tters". I can spot them a mile away. A troll might be a sneakier version of the same disgusting pile of human garbage, but nevertheless...

The difference is, I have the bucks.

As for stirring up trouble in the precious community? Please, grow a pair.
