That alone would be worth the extra $2K or whatever.
I don't mean this in a demeaning way, but it would differentiate the more serious film maker and the influencer and hobbyists. No hat wearing black t-shirt and black skinny jeans self respecting film maker is going to be seen with an A7s3 if the Fx6 has anamorphic! (all jokes, not to be taken seriously)
You forgot the Patagonia puff jacket!
I feel that EOSHD has got more negative over the years, plus Andrew never works in the professional crewed shoots realm, thus all his commentary can at times be completely disconnected from that reality.
Do agree that full height sensor read out for anamorphic would be nice, and would be another good point of difference between the a7Smk3 and the FX6
I had this exact discussion with Alister on a presentation for the FX9, if there is a possibility for it to have an anamorphic mode...as the sensor is capable of it. He said, it will be a nice feature and it seams that it is only a FW thing ... So I guess we can bombard the Sony reps with this feature? (haha)

Because you MUST wear the nosiest clothing possible on set. Just in case the handyman with the leaf blower doesn't show up in the neighbor's yard today.
CVP just posted their Sony FX6 tests and compare against the Komodo, FX9 and C300MKIII:

Did you see "hot pixels" on the FX6 as the ISO gets up. No matter how good the overall image quietness is if it's blighted by pixel drop-out. It makes those high gain levels pretty useless unless you are prepared for a lot of post-work masking out the hot pixels. Something that Resolve can do but it is a workaround you shouldn't have to use.

Any camera at any time can have hot pixels.
I had a few right out of the box with a Blackmagic but the "Pixel Remapping" feature fixed them right away.
I had a really bad one with actually a Sony that had to be sent in. Presumably because the camera (a6400) didn't have a pixel remapping-like feature. Wonder if the FX6 does.
Does the FX6 have an "Execute APR" function like the FS7? The APR stands for Automatic Pixel Recovery. I guess the 6 and the 9 do have. Haven't checked that out yet.
