Sony a7III

-4k 60p.
-10bit external.
-eye-detect auto focus video mode.
-10 bit internal.
-400mbps

I dont think Sony will put it all at once into the a7sIII tho.
Either one/two of these will be in the a7sIII, should just use my a7s+GH4 untill a7sVII for all these features :P

If we're making wishlists, let me add "one more stop of DR, to match FS7+slog3". But yes, it's very unlikely we will get all of that on the III.

I'd imagine you'll need 10 bit to get more DR out of slog3, it's fairly hit n miss usable in 8 bit

^Definitely, internal ND as in the RX100 would be awesome.

And no, I don't think you need 10-bit for that extra stop, since IIRC right now slog3 on the a7S II tops out way below 255. Just use that space and you can get more DR without increasing the (already existent but -for me- bearable) banding issues.

Heck, internal ND would even make me want one and I don't like Sony colors. Testing the GH5S and the lack of internal NDs makes this thing a PITA to run & gun with, especially if you are following subjects indoor, then out.

I tend to agree. Especially also when trying to be inconspicuous.

I've seen that some of these cameras limit the AF face-tracking to HD...must be more difficult with a higher resolution.

We need it in 4K and 1080/120p!

But 10-bit is not the be-all and end-all...talented people will get amazing results 100x better from this 8-bit camera than a GH5 shooting in 10-bit, which could look extremely bad even if it had 12-bit.

This 10-bit craze is insane...what people should really want is RAW shooting cameras. All of them.

Now if I had to pick between RAW or amazing AF or low-light I'd pick the later features, but if it's about more data then RAW is best.

Impressive camera, wonder if it has the aliasing issue the A6500 has. I'll be sticking to my GH5 and GH5s until Sony goes 10bit tho.

Will be interesting what the A7siii has to offer, 4k 60 I would think. I am thinking Sony isn't going to include 10bit in there SLR line up. Maybe Panasonic gets away with it as they are M43 and don't draw a lot of attention.

Great AF is more important on a full frame camera than on an m4/3, just because one tends to shoot with more depth of field on an m4/3, so it's easier to acquire/maintain focus at a higher f stop. I kinda think the m4/3 is at something of a sweet spot right now - the problem for smaller sensors was low light performance, but with clean higher ISO (GH5S) that problem is mostly solved, unless you need to shoot at crazy high ISO (and how often does one do that realistically?). The other thing, is that shooting with a higher f stop gets you to more lenses which are often optimal at higher f stop than crazy stuff like 1.4. So what's the downside of a smaller sensor compared to full frame if we are talking about modern cameras and sensors, what with low light being less of a problem. The A7iii is no doubt a nice camera, but I don't think people are necessarily going to throw away their GH5(S) if they are mostly interested in video. For stills, that's a different discussion.

8bit raw would be interesting
