While that's nice, where are you going to mount it on the camera when you have the Sony XLR adaper attached? Then you'd need a cage system and it all become more complex. With a headphone jack you can monitor the audio coming in through the XLR adapter straight from the camera and use the camera's build in LCD screen to view the footage. Nice and compact.
I think there are much smaller and simpler little adapters which you can plug into the HDMI out port and you can then plug your 3.5mm headphones into that, all very neat and tidy enough
accdg to the papers its full capture at 6k then resizes that to 4k.4K video (no pixel binnning)
Anyone know what this means in real-life terms? Does it mean they've used a 1:1 crop? Or line skipping? What are the ways they can generate a 4K image from a 24mp source without pixel binning, and what are the effects of each method on the image?
Can you point one of these out?
My understanding is that audio is not sent out via HDMI during live recording on a lot of these cameras. Could be wrong.
FALSE.True.
Will it record longer than 30 minutes?
Will it overheat is the big question...?
taxes in EU being different on video cameras (video being defined as anything that can record at least 30min at a time).
So that explains the weird 30-minute ceiling even in 2016. Now I know. I guess I'll have to wait for a real videocamera with similar tech but unlimited record times, and a headphone jack, for four times as much money.
RGB 4K is 8.8 x 3 or 26.4 MPX. 20 isn't quite there but it's pretty darn good, more than most pro cameras.4K video (no pixel binnning)
