I do like my Veydras I have the 35 and the 85
I like the Celere HS's from what I see and read of them, but not at $4400 a pop. Were they more in the $2500 range I would be tempted to consider a set of 5.
Do you guys find that there is just some intangible niceness of the image produced by a FF lens on S35? Or is that all in my head?
Does a FF 50mm at f/2.8 on the Fs7 have a look that is different from a s35 50mm at f/2.8 on the Fs7? Seems that, at least in my mind, that the FF glass produces a more shallow DoF when wide and close-focused than does the s35 glass. I've read it debated and some say it is nonsense that FF glass produces any special look on S35 that S35 glass cannot produce.
My Sigma Art 16-35mm looks magical at 20mm f/4 and focused on an interview subject 6 ft from the lens. My Sony 18-105mm looks meh at 20mm f/4 and focused on a subject 6 ft from the lens. Is that the difference between FF lens and S35 lens or is it just the difference between Sigma Art and Sony G?
