Some RC Heli footage with a 7D

The heli is a custom Trex 700 electric purpose built for lifting a camera with a Photoship One 2x gimbal on it. I plan on doing a video explaining more about it with some behind the scenes footage when I get a chance.

This is the rig:

Amazing footage, especially those long overhead shots! Did you have to do much stabilization in post or does it fly smooth? I was on a shoot with an RC copter recently and the breeze knocked it around quite a bit.

I ran smoothcam on all the aerial shots although most of them were fine without it.

Yeah, wind can be a real pain!

Yeah thanks. I know some folks like to crank it way up which usually leaves a stacato effect. But yours was very smooth.

Awesome. How did you maintain focus? Just put the lens on infinity? OR did you have a remote FF attached?

How much would something like this cost I have a project for next year and I would like to do some Low RC shots

In the meantime we've joined a local professional RC group .

Thanks
