All of this was shot setup like this:
COMMENTS:
• I have noticed that the AVCHD creates lots of blocking after pronounced grading, that becomes often noticeable during playback on Apple Cinema 30 screen, as well as panasonic 1080p TV screen. I'm looking forward to the Ninja-2 coming next week, and try the uncompressed codec.
• The peaking feature worked great with the Canon 70-200mm, I almost never missed my shots. The footage was sharp. Refreshing after 3 years of 5D. UPDATE: This is using only the LCD of the camera. With the 70-200mm it was easy to focus.
• Ergonomy is just fantastic, buttons are quite easy to use for rapid changes. Handle with Iris wheel, magnification button just great (joystick... could be better, but good.)
• Viewfinder. I've barely used it, don't think I will use it much... no use for focus, exposure, etc..
• Battery!!! YES!!!! The original battery that comes with the C100 lasts 300min. Insane. I also bought the Canon BP-975 and that lasts 400min. So you are covered.
- Canon-Log
- Canon 70-200mm
- ISO 850 the whole time (great to work with NDs)
- Shutter @ 1/60s
- Stills from the video with camera on tripod.
- Internal recording 24Mpbs AVCHD
- First shot of each series is non-graded.
- Others are graded inside After Effects (using levels/saturation/tritone typically)
- Graded with original 24Mbps AVCHD *.mts files.
