Some of my C4D work...

Here is a teaser trailer we recently finished at work for a short film. For the teaser I used Cinema 4D, Vue, Nuke, After Effects, Mocha and Photoshop. We hope to finish shooting and complete the short by spring of next year. Shot on the RED One. I was responsible for all the cg, compositing, tracking and color grade. I also used TFD for a bit of atmosphere.

Thus far we've been invited to two film festivals for the screenplay. One festival we got third place and the other we got a runner up. Stay tuned for more updates

Looking good man.

Spring of next year? Sounds good. It's good to know your working on something other than work I mean, not that there's anything wrong with that.

We'll have to get together some day and do something.

Good stuff Josh. Keep us posted.

Thanks Gord. Yep, spring of next year so it will be ready for festivals. Yeah it's nice to work on things other than work actually I'm working on to many things that don't have to do with work LOL but as you said it's a good thing.

Your right we should get together and create something some day. I think it would be fun and we could create something pretty good.

Thanks again,
Josh

Nice ink effect. I wonder what would happen if you put a little twixtor on that? Make some jellyfish creatures flying over a cityscape with that stuff and ...oh, never mind. Your giving me ideas now. :) Looks cool Josh.

Haha thanks Gord. Twixtor would be fun to use on it but I don't have it. Tom, yes I have my eye on Maya. Hopefully I will win a copy of it in some kind of contest :).

Hey guys, here's a mate painting I'm working on for a short film we are shooting (mostly shot on greenscreen) at work on the RED. I still have a lot of work to do but here's an early look.

So far it looks alright but it's hard to comment on without seeing it in motion, and even better, final color grading.

Can you describe what's taking place here as far as environmental conditions and camera movement?

Nothing is in motion yet as I need to lock-down my matte before I go to crazy on the projection side of things. Still have to add a few more 3D buildings as well but here's the script for the matte scene I'm working on now. This will give you an idea of the moving shot.

I got VrayforC4D yesterday and I created this scene in a attempt to learn Vray. I must say I'm loving it so far! I have a lot to learn with the whole vrayforc4d workflow but I certainly don't regret my purchase!
