C200: Some good C200 footage appearing now!

Love the first shot in this:

12bit raw

My only gripe lately, is I'm noticing the rolling shutter and sensitivity to the jittery/Jello in shots on the C200.

This was the one thing the C300 MKII was better at, the stability of handheld shots seemed much more forgiving but it seems that on the C200 you have to be far more careful or it starts to to look more like handheld DSLR footage with that horrible jittery jello movement.

It's not based on what type of camera it is. Check out the thread below for some readout #s...the list is topped by DSLRs/mirrorless' besides the 4.6K in its 2K shooting mode.

The C200 is around 16ms (in this type of testing), which is pretty average, compared to the king of rolling shutter - the a6300 - at 39ms in 4K.

I have a Micro Studio 4K and always thought it was great with handling RS and recently saw it was around 10ms (at least according to here).

That mountain bike video is great. I thought the color grade was a great match for the environment/time of day.

Think the mountain bike one looks a little DLSR like, not sure what it is but doesn't have that organic feel.

It could be that they exported it in 30fps instead of 24fps so it doesnt have a cinematic look and looks more broadcast. Im not 100% sure but that could be the same thing im seeing.

Vimeo says the framerate is 24.

I think it's a combination of things; the camera's working overtime in a tough environment with all of that detail, the grading/colors, dynamic range, maybe the sharpness or perceived sharpness, maybe the deep DOF, etc.

Fast action/movement in the frame also kills your resolution in terms of what your brain is processing. Static shots always look the best (higher-quality).

Nothing that would make me choose the C200 over an Alexa,
but nice to see the C200 in a scripted environment with motivated lighting (camera work and acting not considered...):

I have to admit, I am not crazy about the look of this one. DR seems limited with highlights being strained, hot and discolored. Not anything above DSLR land imho. Maybe it could have been adjusted out more in post...

Not really sure it was a C200 at least all the time - a lot of shots in this bike video were drone shots which looked as good as the main camera. So what's the real Deal?

I'm really digging the image and colors, however there seems to be quite a bit of noise. Could this be remedied easily with Neat Video or a similar application? I think they mentioned in the Slanted Lens C200 review that noise can be an issue with 12-bit raw.

Cloakroom Media said they did some noise reduction with higher ISO’s and I think they also used Clog 3. What was the IRE and ISO on the shots?
