C300: software to evaluate CF card health?

I had a CF card go bad recently - no data loss occurred - but it has me a bit concerned . Is there some software utility out there to evaluate the state of CF cards?

If there isn't, there should be - I've wondered this with Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC cards too.

Agreed I think having some evaluation software for CF cards, actually all memory cards would be terrific. I wonder why there isn't such a thing?

Not a bad idea, but if you shoot with two cards recording at the same time, the risk of both failing at the same time must be minuscule.

Dual slot recording the issue for me . I would like to survey cards from time to time and check their status and be warned if there is a problem and be able to set the card aside preemptively.
