GH2 Soft preview

Hi all

In the GH2, after taking a photo, the preview look soft, not as before the photo, and not like use to be in GH1.

Am I doing something wrong or this is how its going to be?

In the computer its ok, but I must say I don't like the soft preview.

I checked in RAW + JPG, RAW only and JPG only, all the same.

thanks for any help

Ady.

Seen it as well. Really not sure what to say apart from that. The LCD screen has a tack sharp image and then after the shot is taken it kinda looks slightly blurred

I compared two other GH2 at my local store which both showed a quite blurred image after taking a picture. It's quite annoying because coming from my Nikon D300 I used to judge the sharpness of the pic right after taking it - with the GH2 it's nearly impossible. My small P&S Lumix camera (TZ7) has got a better preview picture.
Some users on a German forum where I raised that topic has got a sharp Preview picture!? Maybe that's in the eye of the beholder...?!
Hope for a better firmware.

This is not the eye of te beholder, this was not the case with the GH1, and this in only in this camera, only.

this is sucks.

adys I can understand your disappointment with your camera - so is mine. It's full of sophisticated software but the hardware seems more than cheep - it's hard to find a camera which seems so cheep built in that prince range.
For me the blurry pictures was nearly a cause to return the camera - finally it depends on your workflow - I try to change it...

Well I will not return it cause of this, but its not so fun when shooting.

In my computer its fine.

Strange that not one else saw it, maybe it is something with settings?

damn, i was about to get a gh2... is this 'feature' that severe? also, can other people confirm they notice the softening as well? funny nobody mentioned it before...

its not that severe, but its annoying. Its not that you see blurred image, but there is a softness in the image preview that you see after the shot.

I personally havent noticed it myself, however I have a screen guard over my LCD... so I cannot "clearly" comment on the clarity.
However, working in a photography business for a few years. Everyone would ZOOM into the image after they took a photo, and with the GH2... you can simply touch the screen once for a 2x, and then again for a 4x!
You can do a faster image check then with most other cameras.
I dont use my GH2 for photos much anyhow... VIDEO FTW!
