So Did the AVS Thread git Trashed

I just talked to Barb she is getting 10 this week and should get 7 more by the end of the month. Same as last month. That is to bad for me since I sit at number 12 So I still wait and pray that people drop out.
 
Just simply start refering to people as targets and visit your local spy/kungfu store for additional information. I think like 4 or 5 people dropped out of the first 18 so probably pretty good shot for the same thing to go down again.

Well Justyn I thought of this. I have some friends in high places or low places depends on how you look at it. But you know we are all targets. I know there are alot of people affter me so they mgiht be after me.

As for Barbs price I don't know if it has changed so you might want to drop here a line. I picked up the FX package witch comes with a 4gb P2. for $5600 and then I ordered another 4gb for $640 So best deal for the camera but I think you can get the p2 for like 40 bucks cheeper if you look.

As for number I was number 30 and now I'm number 12 so that would put us.....
I'm to tired to do the math so you figure it out..

cool that the cams are coming in. i'm sure Barb is making some nice cash off all of this.

I also know she had two p2stores in stock for 1525. I bought one. I didn't think I would, but a laptop is not always convenient and the battery life and size is something of a problem. The P2store is really friggin slick too. It copies the cards 2 minutes faster than my laptop did.. and it can verify... format and all that. It's not too big, but not too small either. Kind of like a kids size shoe box or a small brick. I think my battery is about as heavy as the unit.. or thereabouts.

I'm doing my first series of tests today as I have a big shoot tomorrow so I want to work out the kinks and all that. I'm going to be shooting street car racing tomorrow. Fararri's, porsches, pintos, and hyundai's... lol Should be some really great looking footage... plus it's spring break so butts and boobs will be in full display... Yeah, I might shoot that in 1080...
 
Price is $5,300 (the camera, not Barb--although if she's my type and in my age range I'll gladly pony that up for her).
 
Just talked with Barbara. "They" told her AVS is getting *** 20 *** cameras Monday-Tuesday. BUT... not all of them may have cards. (I didn't think to ask who "they" was).

Sounds like there will be a bunch of cameras some with cards, some not.

If you're on the list, expect calls from Barbara first part of the week.

QUICK QUESTION ABOUT THE DEPOSIT AT AVS

If you change your mind, or if you cannot find the entire sum when it comes to paying, will you lose the $500 at AVS? Or you just get thrown off the list, but you will get your $500 deposit back...

Anybody knows what the AVS policy is, regarding this matter?

Barb said that it's fully refundable. I asked about finding a better deal or earlier than hers came in.. and she was cool and said it was totally returnable.


I've been so happy with Barb. I bought the P2store off here as well. She has one left, I believe and it's expensive but it makes shooting a whole lot easier....

The only problem has been UPS.. I hate UPS... Request Fed EX!!!

We had a order with the $500.00 which was charged to our credit card. We decided to cancel the order and give up our position, and the credit card was credited back by the accounting office within a few days . . . just as Barb represented.
 
Just talked with Barbara. The new batch of cameras have not arrived yet. Expecting them any day this week. Changed my order for Fedex delivery.

i was 48 on Feb end - now I am 25 (march 20)

That means 23 camera's have been delivered till now...

I know shipping is based on Zipcodes - but i didnt realize UPS was more than 50% cheaper than FedEx... cheapest FedEx is $75....

According to Barbara who according to Tom (Panasonic Western Region Mgr) Panasonic was supposed to have shipped 20 cameras from Washington March 20th to AVS. Some of the hold up was to try and get as many cards as possible. Tom felt that the cameras should be to AVS by Friday, March 24th.

Close but no cigar yet! Crossing fingers for Friday at the latest.
 
Ahh, I do so remember the angst--the excitement--the long nights awake.

Hold on, guys--those symptoms will all be relieved oh so soon.
 
I was originally #25, when only one camera had arrived. So I am probably the next one on the list. I don't mind if I have to pay more for Fedex.
