Smuggler's Ransom- OFFICIAL THREAD

I was looking at the Wilshire place. Ya think 43 seats will be enough? If only the cast/crew shows up, that'll be nearly 20 people...

i've only used it once and that was not for the cast and crew screening. it was the one we invited journalists, agents, distribution companies and los angeles film critics to.

Gotcha. Maybe I'll have a little something local at my home for the cast/crew and then have one there for other people. I'll keep this thread updated.

yeah a full on cast and crew screening can get expensive. on Blue in Green, ours was at the Silent Movie Theater on fairfaxe ave. the crowd amounted to 150 people -- everyone invited their own friends and family. and we also rented out the terrace patio in back for an after party. cost? over $3,000.

the lesson learned was to incorporate the cost of screenings into the film's budget, which we did on White Knuckles.

also, in the coming weeks, i'm moving my company downtown to LA Center Studios. they have a 40 seat screening room and a 400 seat theater. as a tenant, i will get a discounted rate. will let you know, if it still falls within your price range.

The screening tonight went fantastic! Thanks so much to Providence Christian College for the warm welcome and great audience! Thanks!

Excellent! Glad it went well.

Thanks! Tonight is our second screening in Virginia! I'll hopefully have some pics to post up tonight for that one as well!

Word is: The screening went GREAT! Over 130 people showed up, including the president of the college, and he as well as everyone there really enjoyed the film! Pictures and Video to come!

UPDATE: We have about 20 distribution companies that we'll be contacting and sending the film out to. We're quite hopeful, as Daniel and I scanned through some "Christian market" content yesterday, and it was quite awful. :)
