UPDATE: Durban's rocking the house, M. Johnson is uploading the FX shots in the next few days... We might have a finished movie really soon people!

Well, Fox replied, and quite fast! They UPS'd me a letter and my trailer DVD back. The letter said that they are looking for films they can release theatrically at this time. They did review the trailer (which is awesome) and we'll keep following up on it, as no means maybe in this business!

Why do you need FOX to release / distro your film ? With todays technology; you can do everything yourself.

John, we want to do a sequel to this film... but for a much larger budget... having a partnership with a studio like Fox would make producing the sequel that much more doable.
 
I just love the people who rate this thread so low... :) It ain't going away!

Anyway, to get off the rant... we screened Smuggler's (minus some sound design and music at the end) to several people tonight... who hadn't seen it before, and they all really loved it... they felt like it moved just right... not too slow, not too fast... and they just really enjoyed it. We're very excited!
 
Just got word... the first draft of the score is done! WOW! Justin is on fire! Working with Mark this afternoon as well on getting the rest of the FX shots in.
 
Hey Brandon, just wanted to say congrats on the progress and I can't wait to check this out. Also, I tried your wikipedia link and it didn't work, maybe it's still processing or is being reviewed?

EDIT: Nevermind link works now.

Well... Justin Durban uploaded our final music... now we're in the final tweaking stages on it... our other Justin (sound designer) also uploaded draft 2 of the sound design work for me. I am rendering it all out with picture, and we'll be reviewing it tomorrow, and sending any remaining notes their way. We're close to afinished film here!

I watched one of you're other films last night. Very nice. Can't wait till you release Smugglers Ransom., looks very interesting. Not sure which I'm looking forward to most though. Smugglers Ransom or Season 6 of 24. Oh, and will there be any bloopers/cuts after release?

Thanks for the post! The DVD will contain a ton of extra stuff on it... in fact, tomorrow night we have an interview set up with Tony Quinn.
