Smuggler's Ransom- OFFICIAL THREAD

UPDATE: Looks like we've run into another problem... Stephen Brock just recently moved to Moscow, and was planning on finishing up the sound design there, but it looks like he has dial-up internet access, and is only capable of transferring files over floppy discs!!! That having been said, we're now in a desperate search for a sound designer, as I can't do that stuff well at all! Please let me know if you know someone, or can help! Thanks!
 
There are a lot of great sound designer's in LA, I know a few. Do you have a sense of the scope of the project (in terms of time) and do you have a budget for this task? I will be happy to ask around, but I know that these will be the first two questions that will be asked in response to a "do you want to work on sound design for a film" question.
 
I sent you a PM back with a suggestion as to how you might accomplish this. If it turns out to work for you, I might suggest that you share the idea in this thread as others may be interested in these types of "solutions" to similar problems.

Oh man, I LOVE that thing! I used it quite a bit in Captain Fundraiser as well! It's just perfect for handheld work! I can even get smoother pans with it than my tripod sometimes... (probably cause I don't have the 503 fluid head, need to upgrade that soon!)

Good job Brandon! How is Justin doing on Smuggler's Ransom? Do you think the movie will be done by Christmas or is it delayed? Just curious...cuz i'm really freaking excited!! haha no pressure man! Keep it up Brandon you guys are doing great! :thumbup:
 
NEWS: Nearly all visual effects are done... Mark is adjusting some last minute things, and we'll be golden! This thing is looking great!
 
Website updated... new release date, targeting January 07... we're scrambling to get it all done in Dec. but most likely a Jan. 07 date for folks to order it.
