FS7: Smallrig FS7 grip relocator for $20

Hi Ben, I think I'll order it anyway. Can the handgrip directly attached to the camera with this thing?

Now the handgrip is somewhere in the basement collecting dust. Can be handy.

It seems they have a render of it doing that on the site. I haven't used the handgrip in over 2 years. Thought it might be a cool way of using it for very little money.

This looks pretty handy especially with the "SmallRig Extension Arm for Sony FS7 1851."

What I really like are the ball joints to be able to twist the hand grip to a better angle. Might be nice to have a much shorter one though or even just a ball head with Arri Rosettes on it so you could just use the grip handle without an arm. - more like a traditional camera with your arm tucked in by your shoulder.

Does that make any sense?

Doe this do the same thing as Caleb Crosby's clockarm?

even with 15 dollar shipping you're talking 35 dollars total. If zacuto made this it would be 200 plus shipping lol

But everybody will tell you that it is normal to pay such prices for professional gear and that these Chinese stuff can't be good. And when that discussion starts you can wait for the Formula 1 analogy. :-)

Does anyone know of a arri rosette adapter with a ball so I could position this thing in a comfortable way?

I think I could also do it attached to one of my 15mm rails with just a combination of the grip handle with the new rosette adapter and :

a 90 degree rails adapter
https://www.amazon.com/Smallrig®-Degree-Rail-Clamp-15mm/dp/B006S8EOIC

a short 15mm rod

and a rod to rosette
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LUOX9E...TF8&colid=3HOFJTZZ4F28W&coliid=I3P58CREZ15O9P

Do you need more than that and Would it be firm enough?

Hopefully with just the 90 degree adapter you could quickly turn it out of the way to sit on a flat table easily. That's always an issue with the grip.

Did I hear 18 karat gold?
- Cause gilding the lilly and jewel encrusting your initials is about the only way left to make a buck in the accessory biz with Smallrig around!
