Small HD hdmi splitter

I bought a TV Logic 5.6 monitor to go with my GH2 .
I don't have the funds for a large client monitor at this time so I am going to resort to
a large hdmi computer monitor and I need to split the hdmi signal coming off the camera.

I have no desire to rig up more batteries to my rig so I'm looking at purchasing the SmallHD hdmi splitter as a solution.

Anyone here have any experience running it? Does it seem to work fine being self powered?
Any other solutions?

The splitter is great and will work with any monitors. worst of all you may need to feed it with 5v but not always necessary. look at the video on Small HD's site it's pretty self explanatory.

I did read everything I could about it and also the video on their site.
Just looking for real world experience with it. I read a comment on reduser about it and they said it didn't work correctly with their equipment
so just looking for more input or other solutions.

BTW... If it doesn't work without power in your situation we will provide a 100% refund. It all depends on the power provided by the hdmi source. -reed
 
I bough it almost 1 year ago and used it with gh2 and now with AF100. I love it.
I had issues a couple of times but just because of a bad HDMI cable. Changed it, no more problems.
