I WISH I had the ability to work with real film!

Don't get me wrong. I'm broke because I love all the wonderful toys. If I had 10x the salery I have now I'd still wish I had more to spend on film.

For my first film I ate ramen noodles for a year to save up for my budget. I complained, but loved every minute of it.

Haha yeah man I hear ya. I was just teasing anyway. Your nowhere near as bad as I am with cheapness though, seriously. I almost didnt get my brother a b-day present because I couldnt find an eBay coupon to get rid of the shiping fee.

Going tapeless with a firestore was one of the best investments I have made. I've been using a 40 gig FS4 with my DVX100 for about four years now and it has been a huge time and money saver. I mainly use it for long format events like conferences, stock car races, concerts, etc; stuff where i'm on a tripod with power availalbe because it's not too portable for me. Made the transition to P2 equipment almost seemless. I'd recommend it if it fits your needs.
