Shutter speed problem.

Hello Friends,

I'm getting little problem with shutter speed using GH1(PAL)

There are times when I can set the shutter speed to less than 1/30 but other times it refuses to go down than that(I'm always using it in Creative Movie Mode 720P).

When I first noticed that I can't go below 1/30, I tried everything but it did not go below 1/30 until noticed in the menu that it is in 1080 mode and before I was in 720P mode and when I set it back to 720P I was able to use the shutter speed less than 1/30.

Later again when I turned it on I found that the shutter speed refuses to go below 1/30. I checked in again if I have accidentally set it at 1080P, but it is set to 720 and I can't get it below 1/30.

I think it has nothing to do with 720 or 1080 mode and maybe I'm making some mistake which is causing this problem or otherwise it maybe some kind of bug.

The firmware version is 1.1.

Well, now I guess I was getting that lower shutter speed in the Creative movie mode.

As when I'm trying to use the M mode, the flicker stays there irrespective of what shutter speed I use. Where as when I was getting this lower speed in the Creative Movie Mode, the flicker stopped at anything less or equivalent 1/30 and 1/50, 1/100.

Where as in the M mode it's flickering in every shutter speed I try.

Is it possible that this is some kind of bug that gets triggered due to something and let's you set the shutter speed less than 1/30.
 
OK, I left the camera in M mode with shutter speed less than 1/30 for a while and when I put it back in Creative Movie Mode I could use the shutter speed less than 1/30. I even turned it off expecting it to disappear but it still goes under 1/30 as I type.

Any idea what's happening?
 
I think it's some bug as it is acting randomly...

Anyone else having same problem?
 
Are you sure (check out now, if it is possible) you didn't activate MF (not AFS or AFC) mode when reach shutter speed lower, than 1/30?

You are right, I was not in MF mode again.

Still getting used to the controls...
